Hello everyone

After enjoying some timeout for a couple of months, we're now back in action! We're working hard in our damp new studio to get the old songs into shape and the new ones ready to face the world.

We'll be starting the hostilities in May with a little trip to Austria and Slovenia. Expect some rage, screams and bruises (we've held everything in for far too long you know!). Find us in the following places on the following dates:

Thursday 8th of May @ FLUC in Vienna, Austria

Friday 9th of May @ društvo Špil in Velenje, Slovenia

Saturday 10th of May @ The Old Monastery in Arnoldstein, Austria

We're continuing to work on the songs for our impending first album. With a bit of luck, we'll have one for you to listen to very shortly.

And promoters, feel free to book us - we're back and armed with new pounding rhythms and discordant riffs!!! ;P

February 4th 2008

The Venom Seeds are going to be played on an ace radio show called 'Sisters of Revolution' which celebrates female artists and musicians, from alternative genres such as Riot Grrrl, post punk, electro-clash.

The show airs live from Oakland California USA and will go out on the 8th February 3-5pm California time and 11pm English time on www.9thfloorradio.com. You will be able to download the show from here afterwards.

June 10th 2007

Hello folks!

It's been a month now since our 7" single release. Have you got your copy from us yet or from Flotation Records? http://www.flotationrecords.com

Let's start off with a few words about the release party in Stoke Newington which was a real success. We'd like to send sa big thank you to everyone who made it all possible: Pete, Mark, Steve, Lush Rimbaud, The Dublo, David Mysterious and all the people who showed their interest on that really packed out night! Thanks also to the lovely people who organised the following gigs in Leeds and Bristol - Pete and your Frenzies thank you! - and Chris from Rusty Springfiled/ Killing Moon Parties. It was so much fun to travel across England and play for you! We're looking forward to doing it again.

After all that fun, we've decided to lock ourselves up in a secret hideaway in North East London to record...wait for it... our first album!!! So far we're doing well, we're very pleased with our 200% hardworking and committed sound engineer and the catering service has been beyond all our dreams (David you're a star!). We'll continue working on it during the summer which is why we're reducing the number of gigs we're playing at the minute. However, we're taking a break from our DIY home studio to bring you some filthy garagey noise on the 23rd of June in Watford. We'll be playing at the Flag with Grim Lake Facility and Kissing Kalina. More info on the flyer.

Oh yeah, check out the new photos of our Dirty Water gig on our Pics page.

Bye for now, enjoy the summery sunshine (when it appears)!!!

November 6th 2005

Italy was remarkable !!! We couldn’t believe our eyes and ears and tummies. Venom Seeds would like to particularly thank Marco, Michele (Lush Rimbaud) and Frederico from Hotviruz for their great sense of hospitality. Although the weather was quite cold, the Italian hearts were very warm and we had a really good time with you guys.

The first gig at Thermos in Ancona went really well and that was the night when we discovered Borghetti, a very tasty local coffee liquor that keeps you awake. It was just a shame that our Italian language skills were so little because it would have been great to discuss more with everyone!!! We were glad that people like Georgio could help us understand what was going on or said around/about us.

Big thanks as well to Refo and Jonathan from Bloodysound, your generosity and sense of humour made the 2nd gig really good fun! The audience was ace, very interactive at Blaster and we loved that! We seriously hope to see you again in the future!!! A picture gallery should be online at some point thanks to Marc - SonicMoO, the ham obsessed eater (and our very talented photographer). Venom Seeds would also like to thank David and Becky for their support.

The next gigs will happen in London, comrades, first on the 15th of November at the Buffalo Bar for Artrocker and then on the 19th of the same month at the Spreadeagle for a glare-n-dazzle audio extravanganza night!

July 24th 2005

Hello, hello, just a few words about the Ryans Bar gig. It was incredibly hot and dirty and sweaty and a fucking loud rock'n'roll night!!! The show quickly degenerated into shambles. We loved it (evil laughs)! All started with a broken skirt quickly followed by an unpredicted attack against Anne's pedals and ended up with some unexpected audience’s naked flesh. What a mess!!!

We'll keep very good memories about that night, big cheers to our sexy nude trash gogo dancer, big thanks to Lush Rimbaud and their angular italian millimetre precise riffs (it was really nice meeting you guys!), many other thanks to Monkey Island for organising everything, to Steve for the sound, to SonicMoO for the great pics and to everyone that came. We really hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did!

Apart from that our demo is nearly ready. We'll be back on the 17th of September with new stuff. Have a lovely summer!!

July 10th 2005

Hello ladies and gentlemen, we hope you’re all well and that you managed to escape the last Thursday’s bombings. We concentrated lately on our demo and it’s nearly ready thanks to David Mysterious who worked really hard with the mix. Our previous gig at The Polar Bear went fine (thanks to our friends because the west end crowd was cruelly missing that night).
Our last summer gig will be Thurday, 14th of July at The Ryans in Stoke Newington. I advise all the Shellac fans to come and discover Lush Rimbaud and their angular italian millimetre precise riffs, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Thanx again to everyone who came last week end and to Matthew for organising everything. The gig went really well, the sound was such a blast, loud and dirty, just the way we like it, hehehe!!! We really enjoyed The Black Time’s strangulated vocals and sharpness, as well as The Makeouts’s punk riffs and ability to rock!!! Next gig will be on Friday, the 24th of June. This night will be grrrls orientated. We’ll support We Start Fires downstairs at The Polar Bear in Leicester Square. We hope to see you there!!!!

Hi ladies and gentlemen, the Venom Seeds' website is finally on line (thanx to SonicMoO our beloved photographer and webmaster) for our pleasure (and we hope yours too)! So we eventually got out of our cave recently to offer you two gigs in good old Stoke Newington and Brixton two week ends ago. Cheers again to all the ones who came to see us, to the French Hot Flowers and to Stig for their support. We really had a good time and quite enjoyed sweating our asses off, to tease and please your eyes and ears. We'll be back soon, definitely on the 11th of June still in Barden's room 2 for a razor-sharp raucous garagey bash. Don't miss it out cause it should be pure audio enjoyment!!!
